DECREPIT BIRTH Guitarist Spends Time In Canadian Jail

August 14, 2006

Santa Cruz, California-based death metallers DECREPIT BIRTH have issued the following update:

"We would like to thank everyone who made the Bloodletting 5 tour a great success for us. A huge thanks goes out to everyone in DEEDS OF FLESH, VILE and ODIOUS MORTEM, as well as Mike and Thunderdome Touring! We would also like to give a special thanks to every single fan that came out to the shows and supported this tour package! We met a lot of cool people on the road and it really means a lot to us to see the support you gave us! Also, thanks to anyone who extended their hospitality to the bands and gave us a place to crash for the night or shared their weed or beer with us, we fucking appreciate that shit! Some of you might have heard of our guitarist Mike Turner's small ordeal at the Canadian border. We just wanted to let you all know that Mike did spend the weekend in a Canadian jail due to multiple attempts to cross the border into Canada. He was really disappointed about not making it across the border because he really wanted to get a chance to play in Canada. Despite the absence of Mike, the Canadian shows turned out to be a big success for DECREPIT BIRTH, and we can't wait to get back up there. Next time we'll make sure that Mike can make it out there with us."

As previously reported, DECREPIT BIRTH has uploaded two recently recorded demo songs to their official MySpace profile. Check out the tracks "Await the Unending" and "Through Alchemy Bound Eternal" at this location.

DECREPIT BIRTH's debut album, "...And Time Begins", was released in October 2003 via Unique Leader Records.
